Scary stories are where we live…
-Tasha Wheelhouse
What are scary stories that interest you? What about Wendigoes? They are known for haunting the wilds of Arizona, and who knew you’d be able to find a lurking demon from the 1800s in a quiet town in the deep countryside of Utah?
Copper Shock takes your original scary life experiences and translates them into entertaining new ways for a horror thrill.
Coppershock Horror was started in February of 2016. Here, by the Utah mountainside, I’ll often go for country drives to clear my head and let it be filled with “What if.”
What if a man lived alone in the woods for the sole reason to be as far away from others as possible? What if he was hiding from a past that would land him with the authorities? What if the person he’d wronged hunted him down? What if there’s nowhere else to run, and the man must confront the monster he’d borne from his historical mistakes? What if they did not come to kill him, but ask for the judgment day?
The “What if” game feels like pulling on a string, leading me through fog until I stumble into a scene of core moral questioning. Is it right or wrong? Sometimes, the “right” thing to do changes on our compass so far that when we first started our journey we may have thought it was the wrong thing to do. Let the man begging for help in through the locked door? Choose between whose life should be saved or sacrificed over our own? Apart from moral questioning, I also do subscribe to a good monster story every now and then. I hope you’ll enjoy the journey with me.
EVERYONE HAS A STORY TO TELL, AND I’M DYING TO HEAR YOURS.

The Copper Shock Podcast started in 2016 by Tasha Wheelhouse. A love for scary stories took form as a podcast with the love of listening to old Ray Bradbury radio foley recordings. The history of those scary story recordings is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bradbury_13.
However, Copper Shock has taken influence and inspiration from other popular scary story podcasts. Podcasts like Lore, The Black Tapes, and Limetown gave influence to Copper Shocks passion for storytelling.
From the serial episodic that Lore tells of morbid histories or legends we’ve long forgotten, to the investigative side of the paranormal and unusual that the Black Tapes Podcast or Limetown projects.
Copper Shock takes your personal life stories and retells them in a medium that places the listener inside the room with you during those moments. In addition, scary stories are where we live, and how we overcome those ordeals is the passage of everyone in their way.
